An agency places models with clients and earns a share of the jobs. So it signs you if it believes clients will book you. Your application should make that judgement easy.
Finding the right agency
Agencies have their specialities. Some work mainly in fashion and runway, others in advertising and commercial work or with particular age groups. Look at the models they represent on their website. If you fit that picture, your application stands a better chance there than with an agency whose models look completely different.
What to send
- Current polas
- Your comp card or a selection of your best pictures
- Measurements, age and where you live
- A short introduction video, if the agency accepts videos
- Your Instagram profile, if it fits your application
Stick to what the agency asks for on its website. Many have their own application form.
Read contracts carefully
Read an agency contract carefully before you sign and ask about anything you don't understand, such as term, notice, commission and exclusivity. Be wary if an agency will only sign you on condition that you buy paid services from it. If in doubt, have the contract checked first.

Application material in the model coaching
In the coaching you create polas (step 5), a comp card (step 6) and an introduction video (step 8). Eric also talks you through which agencies suit you. Whether an agency signs you is its own decision, and nobody can promise you that.
