A comp card (Sedcard in German) introduces you on a single card, printed or digital: a few pictures and the key facts. Agencies, clients and photographers can see at a glance who you are and how versatile you are.
What goes on a comp card
- Front: your name and one strong main picture, usually a portrait
- Back: several pictures showing different sides of you, such as full-length, fashion and beauty
- Measurements and features: height, dress size, bust, waist and hips, shoe size, hair and eye colour
- Contact: your agency or, until you have one, your own contact details
Give honest, up-to-date measurements. Any discrepancy shows at the casting.
Choosing the pictures
Every picture on the card should show something new about you: a different outfit, a different expression, a different mood. Two similar pictures take up space without adding anything. Pick pictures that match the jobs you want to do.
The comp card in the model coaching
In the coaching, the material is created in step 6: 12 outfits and 12 looks in one shoot. Eric chooses the pictures with you.
